The New Horizons Beginning (Green Strings) Orchestra is an ensemble designed for adults who are beginners on their instrument or who have not played for a while and wish to brush up on their performance and musical skills. Instruments include violin, viola, cello and bass. 

 

Rehearsals include work on instrumental techniques, rhythm skills, music reading, ensemble playing and following a conductor in a supportive, friendly atmosphere. Repertoire is appropriate for the level of the performers.

Members of the New Horizons String Orchestra and Full Orchestra are welcome to register and perform alongside of Green Strings at no extra cost.”
