Nikola Tomic (jazz trumpet) has performed professionally with the Eastman BroadBand in New York City and Mexico, and with many others, including renowned cellist Hank Roberts, the Binghamton Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Dave Rivello Ensemble. Nikola is now pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the Eastman School of Music. He completed a Master of Music degree at Eastman in 2009, and holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Ithaca College, where he studied trumpet with Frank G. Campos. At Eastman, Nikola has studied primarily with Clay Jenkins and Harold Danko, as well as with Douglas Prosser, Marvin Stamm, and Byron Stripling. Nikola can be heard on the recordings "The Smallest Blue" by Oculus on I-Town Records, "The Oxtet” playing the music of Josh Oxford, and most recently on Thru Spectrums' "Wanderings." A private trumpet instructor since 2003, Nikola has enjoyed great success working with students of all ages, interests and ability levels. More information can be found at
