The Birthplace of New Horizons. Founded in 1991 by Dr. Roy Ernst, Eastman School of Music, Rochester, NY
Leo Giannavola Jr.: Trombone
Life long native of the Rochester area. Been living in Webster since 2013. Graduated from Fairport High in 1963 and from MCC in 1965. Am a retired computer programmer. In addition to Rochester I have also worked in Syracuse, Buffalo, and Marysville Ohio.
Have a married son and one grandchild in North Carolina. Workout at the YMCA three times a week. Do volunteer work. Besides the trombone; my interests are fishing, birding, camping, reading fiction, euchre, movies, Bible study, art, and festivals. If I ever find enough time I would like to try kayaking.
Only prior musical experience was a few guitar lessons when I was 14 but I didn’t stay with it.
Learned of New Horizons from a TV program on WXXI. Chose the trombone because I like the sound of it.
